Schools - Overview

Think Global believes that every young person should leave school with the global capabilities they need to live and work in a globalised world. We want all schools to become global learning schools, where global learning is embedded in the ethos of the school as well as throughout every subject in the curriculum.

We work to support and develop schools’ and teachers’ practice on global learning, providing and signposting teachers to global learning resources, bringing educators together to share ideas, and advocating global learning to education decision-makers.

For teachers across the UK, we run the Global Dimension Website. This is a searchable guide of over 1,000 reviewed books, films, posters and web resources which support global, intercultural and environmental understanding for all age groups and subjects. Teachers can also upload their own resources, and can rate and comment on their favourites. The Global Dimension Website is also home to our case studies of some of the great global learning work which is already taking place in schools, information on the support our members can provide schools, and ideas on how global learning can be included within curriculum subjects and embedded across the whole school.

We also offer training to support teachers to make the most of the Global Dimension Website, bring global learning into their teaching and develop a global learning school.
