Business leaders see broadening young people’s horizons and teaching them about our globalised world as vital if the UK is to compete in the global economy, according to a report by the British Council and Think Global.
The report summarises the results of an ICM poll of 500 UK chief executives and board level directors in companies with at least 10 employees.
Business leaders said that unless young people are better supported to think more globally the UK risks falling behind emerging economies such as China, India and Brazil.
The report also highlights how schools, businesses and other agencies can help young people to broaden their horizons.
