Global Dimension

Secondary Curriculum

All subjects have an important role to play in contributing to young people's understanding of the global context of their lives and of the global interconnections we all have.

The revised secondary curriculum includes the global dimension and sustainable development within the Programmes of Study for each subject. It also has a cross-curriculum dimension called the Global Dimension and Sustainable Development Dimension. Think Global also welcomes the fact that it is designed as an aims-led curriculum. The aims are: successful learners; confident individuals; and responsible citizens.

Think Global has published specific booklets on Science, Geography and the Arts which can be downloaded as PDFs from our publications section.

Subject guidance will be published in Summer 2009 and will be available here.
