Global Dimension

Primary Curriculum

The current primary curriculum provides many opportunities to draw out the global dimension. This can be seen, for example, in the following resource:

The Council for Subject Associations (CfSA) published Primary Subjects 3 - Engaging With Globalisation in early 2009. The pack has 4-page A4 leaflets for each primary subject, looking at how each subject can engage with globalisation, with lots of ideas for classroom activities. The CfSA has sent this new issue out to all primary schools in England. You can order copies of the whole pack or download sample PDFs covering Art & Design, Geography and Science, from the CfSA website.

The primary curriculum is currently being reviewed and we would encourage you to engage in the consultation process to ensure that the global dimension is strengthened.
